Monster in the House

At last I am free to blog once again. Did anyone notice I posted a picture! I think I should get an "A" in art class for being able to do it by myself!
Are you wondering about the "Monster"? Probably not, but I will tell you anyway.
Charlie made the mistake of asking what I would like for him to do one day. A husband should know to never give his wife an opening like that! WELL! The guest room needed a new paint job. Didn't seem like too much work to me. Six weeks later, with new taping and bedding, trim, doors, caulking, paint and window blinds he is finally finished! I'm not sure I will ever get him back in the house again! Don't tell him about the bookshelves I am dreaming up for the office :)
In the middle of all that, the blinds for the living room arrived via FEDEX. By the time we got to church on Wednesday night he was barely talking to me! It had taken him six hours to get them up! This ol' house tends to lean, making it a little difficult to hang anything and make it look straight. Gotta love a man with a paint brush...

The inscription on the marker is nearly obliterated by time, but one of Charles' cousins had a new marker placed there.

About 10:00 a.m. every morning Charles would come to the house, take a break with Lisa, and rock. If he didn't come, she would cry! A daddy's girl at two months of age!
